Season Ticket FAQs

Current Season Ticket Holders Renew: July 22nd 2024

All Individual and Season Tickets On Sale to Public: August 12th 2024

How do I renew this year?

Renewals will be by appointment or online.

  • By Appointment: On June 28th at 10:00 am, a link to sign up for an appointment slot will be emailed. Appointments start July 22nd. There will be in person appointments at the Orem theater as well as telephone appointments. Due to high demand and a lack of space, we will only be able to assist you personally if you make an appointment.
  • Online: The link for online renewals will be emailed July 22nd at 8 am.

Why do I have to set an appointment?

  • Because of our rehearsal and production schedule, we do not have the physical space to accommodate first-come-first-served, in-person purchases.
  • Because of the new theater seating maps, a lot of patrons will want to talk with us about their seating. To provide personal assistance to our patrons, we have to make sure they don’t all come or call at the same time.

I’m a current Season Ticket holder and I want similar seating at The Ruth to what I currently have. How do I get that?

  • Make an appointment to speak with a Box Office Representative. We’ll be glad to help you determine your seating in The Ruth.
  • Please use the seat maps on the website to get familiar with the options.

How can I renew or purchase Season Tickets for someone for whom I buy them as a gift?

  • Contact the Box Office. You may have to set an appointment to speak with a representative if you are renewing before August 12th. We can help you renew or purchase season tickets over the phone for people you intend to give the tickets to as gifts.

What is included in a Season Ticket?

  • The Mainstage season includes five productions in the Grand theater and three productions in the Studio theater. Each season ticket allows one admission to all eight Mainstage productions.
  • A Christmas Carol is not included in any Season Ticket package.

What kind of Season Tickets will be available?

  • A Weekend Season Ticket allows you to come once per production on either Friday or Saturday evenings. You choose your seating and dates in a set package when you purchase.
  • A Midweek and Matinee Season Ticketallows you to come once per production on either Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday or to any matinee. You choose your seating and dates in a set package when you purchase.
  • A Early Bird Season Ticket allows you to come once per production on either the first Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday of each production’s run. You choose your seating and dates in a set package when you purchase.
  • A Preview Season Ticket allows you to come once per production before the official opening. Preview performances may be briefly interrupted due to the nature of final dress rehearsal. You choose your seating and dates in a set package when you purchase.
  • A Flex Season Ticket allows you to come once per production—any day of the week, any time with available seating. This ticket type allows you freedom to choose your dates and seats as each production approaches, rather than at the time of purchase.
    • If seating is particularly important to you, please consider purchasing a Midweek Matinee or Weekend package: with those packages you get the same seats for each performance and the option to get the same seats again next season. Using the free date exchange per production, the Midweek Matinee and Weekend tickets are almost as flexible in dates as the Flex package.

How much are Season tickets?

Why are there price ranges within the same kind of Season Ticket package?

  • Part of our mission is to provide a high quality theatrical experience while maintaining affordable ticket prices.
  • Different price zones give a range of price points so more people can afford tickets.
  • The Grand theater has four price zones and the Studio theater has three price zones. The seat maps on the website show where the different price zones are.
  • You may sit in one price zone in one theater and a different price zone in another theater.

What are the benefits of buying Season Tickets?

  • Discounted ticket prices
  • Guaranteed admission to all eight productions.
  • A free date exchange for each production.
  • Early access sales, including for A Christmas Carol.
  • The option to renew with the same package and seating next year.
    • The Flex package does not have renewable seating.

How do I know what dates are in which packages?

  • All dates in each package are listed on the order form.

Can I change my date?

  • Yes. All season tickets include a free date exchange for each ticket for each production, provided we have at least one business day’s notice.
  • Additional date exchanges incur a $5 fee.
  • Any date exchange requested on the day of the reservation incurs an $8 fee – the free date exchange does not apply.
  • Date changes are dependent upon seat availability.
  • If you exchange to a performance or seating area with a higher season ticket price, you will be charged that difference in price.
  • Please note, the seats that you have for your season ticket package might not be available for the exchanged date.

What if I can’t go on one of my season package dates?

  • You have one free date exchange with each production.
  • When the first date exchange is made, that is the free date exchange, including if the exchange is made at the time of the season ticket purchase.
  • Additional date exchanges incur a $5 fee.
  • Any date exchange requested on the day of the reservation incurs an $8 fee – the free date exchange does not apply.
  • If you exchange to a performance or seating area with a higher season ticket price, you will be charged that difference in price.
  • Please note, the seats that you have for your season ticket package might not be available for the exchanged date.

When can I make reservations with my Flex Package?

  • When you purchase, or any time after.
  • You can reserve for the entire year or one production at a time.

Can Flex Season Ticket reservations be made online?

  • No. Please call the Box Office at 801-226-8600 to make reservations.

If I buy season tickets, can I skip one production to see a different production multiple times?

  • No. A season ticket is good for one ticket to each production. These tickets are non-transferrable between productions.

Is it possible to guarantee I get my favorite seat for each production?

  • Your season tickets can be rolled over again next year, with your current package nights and seating. You may request changes to your package, nights and seating when you renew. Change requests are not guaranteed, but your current season ticket package and seating is guaranteed.
  • In Flex packages, seating cannot be renewed.

When will I be able to see my seats in real life?

  • December 2024 at the earliest.

Can I buy additional tickets for one or more productions when I renew my season ticket package?

  • Yes

When can I purchase “A Christmas Carol 2024” tickets?

  • A Christmas Carol 2024 tickets will be on sale for all Season Ticket holders starting June 10th, 2024.
  • They will go on sale to the public June 25th, 2024

Will you mail me my tickets?

  • No. We don’t want to risk tickets getting lost in the mail. Your tickets will be available for you at will call on the night of your scheduled performance. You may also come into the Box Office in advance (Mon – Sat 10:00am to 6:30pm) and have your tickets printed ahead of time.

Why do you need my email address?

  • Email is the only way we have to communicate regularly with you. We use email to send you receipts, reservation confirmations, reservation reminders, and promotions exclusive to season ticket holders.
  • We do not share or sell your contact information to any other party. It is for the use of The Ruth and Nathan Hale Theater, alone, for the primary use of ensuring you don’t miss any shows.

Why do I have to pay a processing fee for season tickets?

  • The processing fee for season tickets helps to offset the costs of brochures, postage and handling of season ticket materials.
